The One-on-One program is intended to give you the opportunity to learn, practice, and unwind through an Introduction to mindfulness. By participating in this program, you can expect a revitalization of both your body and mind.
Over the course of 2 consecutive days, you will attend 4 sessions in the morning and afternoon. These sessions will include a combination of theory, meditation, and Yin yoga practices.
Throughout your time in the program, you will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively implement mindfulness-based tools. These tools have been clinically proven to assist in the management of your personal and professional life, as well as your overall health. This newfound ability to proactively and independently manage your well-being will be a valuable asset.
Your Journey
Throughout each session, you will gain access to a variety of techniques designed to help you minimize stress caused by negative thoughts and improve your communication skills to enhance your relationships.
Upon completion of the program, Mindful Intelligence Algarve will provide guidance as you create a well-defined and targeted plan to incorporate all of the acquired knowledge. This will enable you to navigate life’s joys and challenges with adaptability, self-regulation, and self-care.
Benefits:
During Session 1, you will receive an introduction to the concept of mindfulness. This will include instruction in mindful eating techniques as well as the body-scan method. To ensure your active participation and full immersion in the program, each session concludes with mindfulness assignments for you to practice until the next session.
In Session 2, you will discover the potency of emotions by developing an awareness of their true nature. You will uncover the underlying message behind each emotion, gain insight into the significant influence they have on your actions and interactions with your environment, and enhance your ability to remain focused in the midst of daily challenges.
During Session 3, the focus will be on mindful communication. This will involve practicing active listening techniques and exploring three distinct types of communication. By learning to communicate mindfully, you will be able to transform challenging situations and cultivate stronger relationships.
In Session 4, you will receive guidance as you design a targeted and well-defined plan to incorporate all of the knowledge and mindfulness practices you have acquired throughout the program. This will enable you to integrate these techniques into your daily routine, helping you achieve your immediate goals and plan for future objectives.

Food
The price of the program includes daily breakfast and lunch. These meals are prepared exclusively using locally-sourced ingredients based on the southern Portuguese diet. This includes fresh eggs from the farm’s coop, seasonal fruits from the orchard, vegetables from the garden and surrounding areas, sheep and goat cheeses, smoked meats, and preserved fish from Isla Cristina to Faro (salted or smoked). The farm’s own fruits are also used to create compotes and chutneys.

Accommodation
Companhia das Culturas is an organic and sustainable ecotourism establishment, established in 2008. Situated in the southeastern part of Algarve, it borders the Castro Marim Nature Reserve. The property offers a unique environment for contemplation, relaxation, sharing, and reflection without the distractions of television or background music. It is a place where guests can fully appreciate the beauty of time passing slowly.
You will be accommodated in one of the architecturally designed lime, smoothed cement, wood, and cork rooms (four rooms and four suites) each with its own unique size, layout, decoration, and specifications. All rooms, suites, and apartments are air-conditioned. Additionally, there is a cork box made from the huge garage of the thresher which serves as a space for the program, as well as the Tuesday and Saturday yoga classes that are included in your stay.
Imagine a place where each day, nature’s cycles and the unhurried passage of time are celebrated. The walls and structures hold stories of their own and are appreciated for the memories they contain. Silence is a source of harmony rather than discomfort.

In today’s fast-paced world, I firmly believe that mindfulness is a highly effective tool for improving both mental and physical health. I hold a Degree in Exercise and Health, and I have extensive experience in developing, implementing, and facilitating personalized mindfulness-based stress reduction retreats in 5-star hotels located in Algarve, Portugal. These programs are designed to accommodate individuals of all nationalities and religious backgrounds.

The retreat location is Castro Marim, Algarve, Portugal, situated within Companhia das Culturas, a sustainable and organic eco-tourism establishment located in the southeastern part of Algarve. The property is 1.5 kilometers from Praia Verde beach, four kilometers from the historic town of Castro Marim, and six kilometers from Ria Formosa Nature Reserve.
