This yoga retreat, spanning five days, offers a comprehensive opportunity for yoga enthusiasts, teachers, and individuals with a strong passion for yoga to deepen their knowledge of the practice. You will receive an intensive overview of all aspects of yoga, with daily two-hour sessions of yoga and/or meditation.
Your Journey
The Yoga Skyros Academy is centered around the idea of small class sizes, with a maximum of 12 students, to facilitate high-quality teaching, better learning and understanding, and a stronger connection to your inner consciousness and peace. During this retreat, you will cover a range of topics, including an intensive practice of all yoga asanas, different styles of yoga like Hatha, Yin, and Vinyasa, fluid movement with synchronized breathing, the opportunity to choose your preferred style of yoga, yoga Nidra, and evening meditation sessions.
The Yoga Pure Training offered by the Yoga Skyros Academy takes a unique approach, with a 100% practical and style-focused curriculum. Since 2005, the Academy has been training yoga instructors, setting them up for success in their teaching careers. Joining us for a “pure yoga retreat” in this environment will be an enriching experience.
Please note that a detailed daily schedule will be provided upon booking. A typical day may include a Hatha foundation yoga class from 8-9 am, followed by breakfast and personal time until 12:30 pm when we will break for lunch. After lunch, you can use your time to explore the seaside, Athens, or focus on your personal recovery. We will reconvene at 5 pm for a style-specific yoga class.
Food
Start your day right with a complimentary breakfast at the Yoga Skyros Academy. But that’s not all – treat yourself to a wholesome lunch and dinner for only 40 EUR per person and day. Don’t worry about your dietary preferences, as the academy caters to all needs, including vegetarian, vegan, whole food, yogic, and even ayurvedic. Just let us know your requirements and we’ll take care of the rest. Indulge in a full day of nourishing meals that will leave you feeling energized and refreshed.
Accommodation
During your stay with Yoga Skyros Academy, you will be provided with accommodation. The student rooms are fully furnished and feature shared bathrooms, equipped with a shower, bathtub, and toilet. To make your packing easier, there is no need to bring a lot of clothing since washing machines are available for a small fee of 10 EUR.
Students will be sharing a double bedroom with another student. If you prefer a private room, single rooms are available upon request at an additional cost.
For a single person in a shared twin room, the cost is 670 euros. For a private single room, the cost is 870 euros. If you are traveling with a companion, a private double room is available for 1340 euros.

Exciting news! Starting on October 22nd, 2022, Yoga Skyros is moving to a new location at 113 Agisilaou, 16674 Glyfada, situated between the Sea and the Mountain. Just 2.5 km from the Sea and 0.5 km from the Mountain Illias, this Greek Riviera location offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
Glyfada, located in the south part of Athens, is easily accessible and offers high-class shopping, walking, and dining experiences. The area boasts numerous restaurants serving different cuisines, supermarkets, and coffee shops – everything you need to enjoy your time studying yoga and immersing yourself in the Greek lifestyle.
The Temple of Hatha Yoga remains beautiful as ever with a wooden floor and balconies all around. Additionally, external yoga classes with a breathtaking view of the sea will be hosted on the rooftop. The interior decoration of our new location has been masterfully taken care of by Theodora Papadaki of Thera Design Studio, who brings with her fresh ideas and a beautiful Greek smile from Santorini.

How to get there?
We recommend booking your flight to Athens International Airport (ATH). We offer airport transfers upon request, which cost approximately 40 EUR one way, equivalent to local taxi rates. Just let us know your arrival and departure details, and we’ll make the necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and stress-free journey.
