Your Journey

Proposed schedule:

Friday

  • 5:00 PM: Arrival and check-in to the rooms.
  • 6:00 PM: Opening circle. Introduction to Yoga, followed by a postural Yoga session.
  • 7:30 PM: Dinner.
  • 8:30 PM: Sharing and study time about seasonal edible local plants.

Saturday

  • 8:00 AM: Pranayama, Hatha Yoga, Relaxation, Guided Meditation.
  • 10:00 AM: Garden picking and cooking workshop.
  • 12:30 PM: Lunch. Free time available for browsing books on Yoga, Ayurveda, and plants, etc.
  • 2:00 PM: Picking walk in the Don Valley.
  • 4:30 PM: Hatha Yoga.
  • 7:30 PM: Dinner.
  • 8:30 PM: Screening of a documentary on Ayurveda (traditional Indian medicine that heavily uses plants).

Sunday

  • 8:00 AM: Hatha Yoga.
  • 10:00 AM: Cooking workshop.
  • 12:00 PM: Lunch.
  • 1:00 PM: Closing circle.
  • 2:00 PM: And it’s already time to leave! (Maybe bring the leftovers from the cooking workshop, don’t forget to bring Tupperware).

Drawing inspiration from the world’s cuisine and her experience as a head chef, Omwoods offers you the opportunity to create colorful, flavorful, and indulgent vegan dishes made entirely from organic agriculture. Teachers

Agnès Blain

Agnès discovered yoga at the age of 16 and has received teachings from many different styles during her travels, including Sivananda, Hariharalaya, Vipassana meditation, and DeGasquet. She aims to contribute to the transmission of yoga that combines traditional principles with modern, inclusive, feminist, decolonial, and ecological approaches, adapting to each individual. Agnès has been leading workshops since 2015 and recently completed a module on “Respecting the Roots of Yoga: Teaching without Cultural Appropriation.”

Location

You’ll be staying at the Juzet hamlet, in a cozy cottage on the doorstep of Brittany. This beautiful and typical regional farmhouse has been carefully renovated and decorated and features a large garden with a terrace and swimming pool. Get ready to relax and unwind in this charming setting!

The nearest train station is located in Beslé-sur-Vilaine, and the organizer will be happy to pick you up from there.

La retraite se déroule chez Agnès, et même si l'on a décidé de vivre selon le modèle ashram, on participe spontanément à la communauté. La vie en collectivité à neuf se déroule en douceur grâce à Agnès, qui est attentive à nos suggestions. Le déroulement de la journée a été adapté au fil du séjour pour correspondre à nos envies et à notre ressenti, de manière naturelle. Cette flexibilité est appréciable et positive. Nous nous sentons écoutées... La maison écologique et le jardin sont parfaitement adaptés à une vie comme dans un ashram. Nous pouvons facilement circuler, discuter ensemble, nous isoler pour lire, dormir, marcher à notre guise pendant notre temps libre. Le silence pendant l'heure du brunch nous permet de nous recentrer sur nous-mêmes et d'entrer calmement dans notre temps libre. Les séances de mantras, de méditation, de philosophie du yoga et d'asanas sont équilibrées dans la journée, et tout se passe dans une ambiance bienveillante. Agnès est très organisée, sait déléguer et cuisine divinement bien de la cuisine végétalienne (nous sommes toutes reparties avec des recettes). Tout se passe naturellement, sans contraintes. La flûte jouée par Agnès nous rappelle les horaires, et si nous voulons renoncer à une séance, c'est dit dès le départ. C'est un enchantement d'écouter Agnès chanter, elle nous emmène très loin avec sa voix douce et mélodieuse... le bonheur de chanter ensemble ! Les discussions sur l'ayurveda sont également un plus !
