About this tour

It is essential to convert anger into a positive force to enhance your well-being and relationships with those around you. The One-on-One program is designed to concentrate on anger management from a Mindfulness viewpoint. The program involves identifying and examining the aspects of your life that are affected by this emotional state and discovering its underlying causes, allowing you to respond more effectively. The program spans six sessions and includes a day of silence, held over four consecutive days, with both morning and afternoon sessions that combine theory, meditation, and Yin yoga practices.

Your Journey

Throughout your visit, you will be introduced to an array of mindfulness meditation techniques, including mindful eating, body scan, attention to breath meditation, and mindful walking. You will also learn practical methods to proactively address stress. In between sessions, you will have mindfulness assignments to complete, enabling you to fully integrate what you have learned and apply it for the duration of your stay.

The first session, “Introduction to Mindfulness,” will cover the fundamentals of Mindfulness, including its definition and application. Mindful Intelligence Algarve will facilitate a relaxed introduction to conscious eating and a formal meditation practice called Body Scan. To ensure that the practice remains consistent throughout the stay, each session will conclude with a Mindful investigation and an activity plan that can be implemented until the next session.

During the second session, “Reality Perception,” you will explore how your beliefs and assumptions shape your perception of yourself, others, and your environment, particularly in relation to anger. You will identify the most prevalent anger-related beliefs in your life, comprehend their impact on your daily life, and learn strategies to deconstruct them.

In session three, “Emotions,” you will examine the underlying message of each emotion and explore how Mindfulness can assist in managing its fluctuations. This session will equip you with the ability to identify, manage, and respond Mindfully to difficult emotional states.

During session four, “Exploring Anger,” you will delve deeper into the detrimental effects of anger on personal growth and happiness, including how it can disconnect us from ourselves and others. You will analyze the root causes of anger and examine its impact on your life, while also learning practical strategies to overcome it.

During the Day of Silence, you will engage in both informal and formal mindfulness practices, utilizing all the techniques you have learned throughout the program.

In session five, “Mindful Communication,” you will learn how to communicate Mindfully and achieve optimal results both professionally and personally, including in relationships with family, partners, and coworkers.

During the final session, “Integrating Mindfulness into Daily Life,” you will consolidate all the knowledge acquired throughout the program and formulate a plan for incorporating Mindfulness into your everyday life. This plan will include a wise combination of formal and informal practices that have proven effective in achieving your goals.

Food

The program price covers daily breakfast and lunch, which are made using locally-sourced ingredients following the southern Portuguese diet. Fresh eggs from the farm’s coop, seasonal fruits from the orchard, vegetables from the garden and surrounding regions, sheep and goat cheeses, smoked meats, and preserved fish from Isla Cristina to Faro (salted or smoked) are included. In addition, the farm’s fruits are utilized to create compotes and chutneys.

Accommodation

Companhia das Culturas, established in 2008, is an organic and sustainable ecotourism establishment located in the southeastern region of Algarve, adjacent to the Castro Marim Nature Reserve. The property provides a distinctive atmosphere for contemplation, relaxation, sharing, and reflection, without the distractions of television or background music. It is a place where guests can savor the beauty of time passing slowly.

You will be accommodated in one of the architecturally designed lime, smoothed cement, wood, and cork rooms, which include four rooms and four suites, each with its unique size, layout, decoration, and specifications. All rooms, suites, and apartments are air-conditioned. Additionally, the program utilizes a cork box, crafted from the vast garage of the thresher, as a space for the program, as well as for the Tuesday and Saturday yoga classes included in your stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed the mindfulness course. It provided me with a strong theoretical foundation on mindfulness, particularly on how to manage stress. The meditation practice was an excellent complement to the theory. Renata's passion for her work was evident through the energy she put into her teaching. She paid close attention to every detail and made sure to prepare meticulously to provide the best experience for her students. The countryside setting was serene and well-maintained. The food was fresh and delicious. The nearby beach was only a 15-minute drive away and it was lovely. The weather was also pleasant, with warm afternoons and cooler mornings and evenings. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to manage stress and cultivate mindfulness in their life.The only drawback was that the motorway is located close to the property, which generated some background noise. However, this cannot be avoided since it also provides easy access to explore other areas. The noise was not bothersome to me, and it could not be heard from the other side of the house facing away from the motorway.
