Your Journey

Experience a yoga retreat like no other with Just Relax Yoga Holidays. Our philosophy is simple – no rules, just relaxation. We want you to enjoy your well-deserved break and make the most of your time with us. With two yoga classes per day (except on your day off), you’ll have plenty of opportunities to deepen your practice with our inspiring teachers. But that’s not all. We also offer additional activities for you to shape your retreat into the ultimate holiday.

Arriving on a Saturday, you’ll begin your journey with an evening yoga session followed by a delicious Greek vegetarian dinner. From there, your daily schedule will depend on the teacher and the month, but typically includes a morning yoga session, brunch, free time, an evening yoga session, and healthy Greek buffet dinners. On Tuesdays, we’ll take you on a minibus tour of the island, including a breathtaking sunset at Seventh Heaven Cafe and Bar. Your Wednesday is a free day to explore Corfu, while Friday night is spent together for a farewell dinner at the villa.

We have two outdoor spaces for yoga practice – one in the back garden and one on the beach – and two outdoor spaces for breakfast and dinner. If you prefer, your food can be delivered to your room for a more private experience. Check-in is flexible, and check-out is at 10.30 a.m. to allow for proper ventilation between guests.

Our teachers specialize in different styles of yoga, but all morning sessions are energetic and dynamic, while evenings focus on Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, and meditation. With Just Relax Yoga Holidays, you’ll leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated.

In your free time, you can just relax on a sunbed in our beautiful garden or at the beach just in front of the villa. You can take one of our bicycles to explore around and maybe enjoy lunch at a local tavern. Or your host can help you arrange a boat tour, horse riding, diving, or even an extra massage! It’s your free time and you can do whatever makes you happy!

Food

Indulge in the delicious flavors of Greece with Just Relax Yoga Holidays. Your total cost includes daily breakfast, one Greek lunch, and five Greek vegetarian dinners. Lunch is only served on the tour day, and dinner is not included on the free day or tour day. But not to worry – if you’re feeling peckish, there are plenty of nearby restaurants in Almyros Beach or Acharavi village, just a short walk away.

We’ve made the conscious decision not to include lunches in our packages, so you have the freedom to explore the local area and truly immerse yourself in the culture. If you prefer to stay in, our villa will be your home for the week, and you’re welcome to prepare your own lunch in our fully-equipped kitchen. And don’t worry about leftovers – our generous dinners are sure to leave you with plenty for the next day.

Start your day off right with our delectable breakfast buffet, featuring seasonal fruits, tea and herbal teas, coffee, Greek yogurt, cereals, fresh bread, local jams, honey, eggs, cheeses, and tomatoes from our own garden. For dinner, you’ll savor the taste of Greek vegetarian cuisine made with the freshest, seasonal ingredients sourced from our own garden or local farms.

Accommodation

Indulge in the ultimate luxury experience during your stay at Just Relax Yoga Holidays. Nestled just a stone’s throw away from the picturesque Almyros beach, our beautiful Corfiot villa boasts breathtaking views of the Albanian coast. With substantial gardens at the front and rear of the villa, you’ll be surrounded by lush tropical trees and blooming flowers, creating a serene and tranquil environment to unwind and relax.

Our villa offers five spacious bedrooms, each with a picturesque balcony offering panoramic mountain or sea views, as well as a large attic room. We welcome a maximum of 12 guests per week, ensuring an intimate and personalized experience for all. The rooms are tastefully decorated in traditional Greek Ionian style, with comfortable beds draped in 100% cotton linens to ensure a peaceful and restful night’s sleep.

Luxury bath towels and toiletries are provided, and some rooms benefit from en-suite bathrooms, while others share an adjacent bathroom with the neighboring room. You’ll have access to a range of facilities included in the package, such as sunbeds and parasols, yoga equipment, WiFi, and a washing machine.

Our ground-floor Aphrodite room features a comfortable double bed and a spacious private balcony, perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway. The Hermes room offers two single beds and a private balcony, making it ideal for friends embarking on a joint yoga retreat. The Ares suite boasts two comfy single beds, a private bathroom, and stunning panoramic sea views, while the Cronos room offers a comfortable double bed and a private bathroom with stunning panoramic sea views.

For those seeking a more spacious accommodation, our self-contained Dias suite features a double bed, lounge area, and private balcony offering panoramic mountain views. Finally, our beautiful Attic Hlios dormitory room features four single beds and a stunning sea view, making it perfect for solo travelers seeking a shared accommodation option.

Rishin Paonaksar

Rishin, a native of India, was exposed to yoga during his school days but only took it up years later to recover from a cycling injury. After a successful career in banking, he left to start his own food business and pursued his passion for yoga by completing his teacher training at Hot Power Yoga in 2012. Since then, he has continued his education, training as a myofascial bodyworker with senior Forrest yoga teachers Jambo Truong and Brian Campbell, and as a yoga sports coach with the Institute of Yoga Sports Science. Today, he leads classes and workshops both in-person at London studios and online.

Yvonne Manzi

Yvonne’s passion for yoga is more than just a hobby – it’s a way of life that she inherited from her family of yogis. Her practice became more serious during her university years and led her to complete her teacher training with the renowned Sivananda Yoga Vedanta School. Yvonne’s classes follow the classical Sivananda tradition with her own unique twists, making them both energizing and challenging. She prioritizes adapting each class to meet the individual needs of her students and creates a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere in every session.

Sara Fusaro

Sara was trained as a yoga teacher at Yoga London followed by more hours of training, specializing in different styles. She continues to deepen her practice often traveling to have the opportunity to study with worldwide recognized teachers.

Angie Pollacchi

Angie is a firm believer in the importance of working with your body, rather than against it, recognizing that every individual’s body is unique. She encourages you to celebrate and focus on your own yoga practice, without comparing yourself to others. With an emphasis on self-awareness, compassion, and care, Angie creates personalized practices that take into account individual body differences, while also strengthening and conditioning the body and mind in a safe and nurturing environment.

Sarah Powdrill

Meet Sarah – a fitness enthusiast with a strong background in strength and conditioning, personal training, and competitive running. Initially, she found yoga to be too slow and boring until attending a yoga retreat four years ago, which changed her perception. Starting with just 10 minutes of daily practice, Sarah slowly developed a deep love for the physical and mental strength and grace that yoga added to her life. Today, yoga has become an integral part of her daily routine, and she continues to inspire others to find their own path toward physical and mental wellness.

Emanuela Celletti

Emanuela has been practicing different forms of yoga and meditation since 2005. A keen Ashtanga Vinyasa practitioner, Emanuela draws upon a variety of styles and traditions with a view to constantly expanding her understanding of movement and mind-body awareness. She teaches Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, gentler and slower forms of yoga, and meditation, in a relaxed yet thorough manner. Emanuela is committed to supporting the practice of a wide range of students of all ages and shapes and is delighted to welcome beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

Cara Sebastian

Cara is a certified Yoga Alliance teacher who uses movement and breath to create a sense of lightness in the body and clarity in the mind. With a focus on Ashtanga Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, Cara’s classes offer a balance of strength and flexibility, masculinity and femininity. She brings creativity and fun to her classes, weaving in elements of dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, singing, and massage to make movement accessible and grounding for all levels. Meet Anja Mujic, the multi-talented Australian dancer, musician, yoga teacher, and writer currently residing in Berlin. Meet Melina – a born and bred Athenian who graduated from the State School of Dance in 2003 and discovered her passion for yoga. Her profound journey in Hatha yoga led her to delve deeper into the science of anatomy, psychology, and philosophy, while also studying Therapeutic Yoga Nidra and Bahiranga Restorative Yoga. Melina’s retreat focuses on finding balance in both body and mind, leaving you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and with a big smile on your face.

Serena Repetto

In 2015 she started the 200hr Ashtanga yoga teacher training with her master Esther Lim, yoga teacher and Shaman, to go deeper into the practice and to improve her knowledge. Since then she had various pieces of training in Forrest and Shaman Vinyasa Yoga. She loves to offer a different practice based on the level and the mood of the participants. In her sessions, you’ll experience both relaxation and active flows, mixed equally to help your mind and your physical body find inner peace, connecting your spirit to the surrounding nature.

Isabelle Poulin

Meet Isabelle, a passionate Yoga Alliance 200-hour certified instructor from Ottawa, Canada with a love for all things wellness. With experience in flow, power, and Yin-style yoga, as well as meditation and breath work, Isabelle’s teaching style is fun, inclusive, and body-positive. She believes in making yoga accessible to all and offers modifications to ensure everyone can participate. For Isabelle, yoga is not just about movement – it’s about finding peace, stability, and wholeness amidst the chaos of everyday life.

Bella Mouzakiti

As a Corfu native, I’m Bella, and my lifelong devotion to spiritual healing through yoga, meditation, and breathwork has led me to share my passion through retreats, workshops, and classes. My aim is to help people find balance, meaning, and a path to healing through yoga practices such as Hatha and Vinyasa, dance healing, meditation, and breathwork. Almyros, located on Corfu Island, Greece, provides a serene escape from the bustling cosmopolitan beach of Acharavi. It is an idyllic paradise for those seeking a tranquil break from the hectic routine of everyday life.

Corfu is not only renowned for its picturesque setting and sumptuous cuisine, but it is also steeped in cultural history. The origins of the island can be traced back to Greek mythology, with the island’s name, Kerkyra, related to two powerful water symbols, Poseidon and Asopos. According to the myth, Poseidon named the island Korkyra after his wife, the beautiful nymph Korkyra, and the name gradually evolved into Kerkyra over time.

Apart from Greek mythology, Corfu’s history is full of battles and conquests. Its capital, Corfu town, is enclosed by castles and has been officially declared a Kastropolis, or castle city, by the Greek government.

Corfu’s landscape is breathtakingly beautiful, dominated by mountains, rolling hills, and verdant vegetation. The Northern region of the island has retained its natural and architectural charm, making it a favorite spot for both tourists and locals. The coastal areas boast pristine white sandy beaches, while the turquoise sea provides a stunning contrast to the lush greenery of the Corfiot countryside.

How to get there?

Getting to Corfu’s New Port can be accomplished through direct ferry connections from Venice, Ancona, Bari, Brindisi (Italy), Himara and Saranda (Albania) or Igoumenitsa, Patra (Greece). Once you arrive, there is a parking lot with rental cars and taxis nearby, as well as a public bus station.

If you prefer to take a taxi, you can reach the retreat location from the airport for 61 EUR. Just Relax will try to arrange ride-sharing opportunities to help cut down on costs.

Alternatively, you can take the local bus from the main bus station in Corfu Town.
