Your Journey
What is Shiva Flow?
Shiva Flow is a style of yoga that combines asanas, stories from Hindu myths, mudras, and fluid movement during practice. It exists in two variations:
Shiva Flow courses consist of a weekend focused on providing teachers with the knowledge and experience to lead and guide a Shiva Flow class, which can be integrated into the class offerings of a yoga school or studio.
There are four flows to choose from:
Virabhadra Flow
Dates: May 26-30 / October 7-10
This flow is dedicated to the three warriors and the myth behind the figures of Virabhadra and Shiva. It is a particularly fluid sequence, ideal for working on continuous and uninterrupted movement from one asana to another. This sequence was the origin of Shiva Flow as a style of practice.
Bharadvaja Flow
Dates: July 14-18 / December 15-19
This flow is dedicated to the myth of Bharadvaja, Shiva, and the figure of the Master. It is a fluid sequence, at times technical, that warms up the joints, hips, and knees, leading to the execution of this asymmetrical asana in the half lotus position, following the story of the myth through a series of fluid and uninterrupted movements.
Hanuman Flow
Dates: September 22-26 / January 5-9, 2024
This flow is dedicated to the three asanas linked to the myth of Hanuman and Rama: Virasana, Anjaneyasana, and Hanumanasana, as well as the figure of the yogi and their potential. It is a technical sequence that works on lengthening the posterior chains and strengthening the quadriceps to progressively achieve the split, following the story of the myth.
Nava Flow
Dates: November 17-21 / February 23-27, 2024
This flow is dedicated to the myth of Ram and Sita, and the figure of the master as a guide. It is a somewhat unusual, fluid sequence that warms up the core of the body in a broader sense, first by opening the hips and then activating the abdominal muscles, following the story of the myth through a series of fluid and uninterrupted movements.
