Ishara, the founder and owner of Plantation Villa, is a dedicated meditation practitioner whose life has been profoundly influenced by her practice. With over eight years of experience studying Buddhism and meditation, Ishara shares her inspiring life story to guide others in the exploration of meditation. She offers deep insights into the nature and patterns of the mind, empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and unlock their inherent sense of fulfillment. Ishara’s wisdom and guidance inspire others to embark on their own transformative journey of self-discovery and inner peace.

Lara Toth

Lara Toth, formerly based in Sri Lanka and now teaching full-time at Plantation Villa in London, brings a diverse range of expertise to her role. She completed her teacher training in Bali, where she studied under both modern yoga instructors and traditional Indian swamis, focusing on Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga, Meditation, and Yoga Philosophy. Additionally, Lara has a background in personal training, assisting students in cultivating stronger and healthier bodies. With a Bachelor’s degree in languages and her ongoing pursuit of a Master’s degree in Buddhist Philosophy, Lara seeks to integrate her knowledge of both yoga and Buddhism to enrich the growth and development of her students.

Dr Ruwanka Ahangama

Dr. Ruwanka is a distinguished graduate of the Institute of Indigenous Medicine at the University of Colombo, where he obtained a first-class degree in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. Recognized for his exceptional academic achievements, he was appointed as a demonstrator by the university. During his time as a student, Dr. Ruwanka developed a unique interest in a field that is often overlooked by Ayurvedic practitioners – surgery. His specialization lies in the treatment of anorectal disorders such as fistula-in-ano, hemorrhoids, and anal fissures. Additionally, Dr. Ruwanka is well-versed in the application of Leech Therapy, which he employs for the treatment of various conditions including varicose veins and glaucoma. With his expertise and commitment to patient care, Dr. Ruwanka offers a comprehensive approach to healing and wellness.

Air Travel:

To reach the retreat, please make your flight arrangements to arrive at one of the following airports: Bristol Airport (BRS), Birmingham Airport (BHX), or Cardiff Airport (CWL). Upon booking your retreat, Plantation Villa will provide you with the exact address and directions to the location. On-site parking facilities are available for those arriving by car. While airport transfers are not provided, we can offer recommendations for local taxi services. In order to maintain the tranquility of the environment, we kindly encourage carpooling or utilizing public transportation whenever feasible.

Train Travel:

For those opting to travel by train, the nearest stations are Hereford (a 20-minute drive away) and Gloucester (a 40-minute drive away). If you plan to take a taxi from the station, we strongly advise pre-booking to ensure timely transportation, as taxis may not always be readily available at the station.

Cancelation policy:

  • To secure a reservation, a deposit of 14% of the total price is required.
  • If a booking is canceled, the deposit is non-refundable.
  • The remaining balance of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
