About this tour

Join us for a magnificent yoga retreat combined with horseback riding on the outskirts of the Abruzzi National Park. During your stay, you will be accommodated in an organic farm and have the opportunity to socialize with fascinating individuals who share your interests from various parts of the globe. Immerse yourself in the natural surroundings and take part in several hikes, including a trail to the enchanting waterfall and the historic castle.

Your Journey

The following is a typical daily schedule that you can expect during your stay at Italy Farm Stay:

  • 08:00 – Yoga classes
  • Free time to explore the area, hike, relax, or participate in farm activities
  • 17:00 – Optional yoga class in the afternoon
  • 20:00 – Dinner

Please note that there will be one day dedicated to a horseback riding excursion and three massage sessions will be arranged for your enjoyment. Italy Farm Stay encourages guests to pursue individual interests, and many prefer to venture out to explore the castle hike, waterfall hike, overnight hike, or the local market in Sora. For this reason, lunch is not included in the package. This provides flexibility for guests who typically go out for the day and enables them to customize their experience based on personal preferences. Additionally, guests have the option to socialize and make friends with like-minded individuals during their stay.

Food

Get ready to indulge in delicious and healthy farm-to-table meals during your stay with us! At Italy Farm Stay, we strive to be self-sufficient and use only organic ingredients in our dishes, which include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options upon request. Non-vegetarian dinners are also available with prior notice.

Start your day with a simple yet satisfying Italian breakfast between 8 am and 10 am, including coffee, tea, homemade seasonal jam, bread, milk, biscuits, and farm-fresh fruits and vegetables.

For dinner, gather around the table with your fellow guests and savor a traditional Italian meal made from wholesome ingredients straight from the farm. Our two-course dinner typically includes homemade pasta, followed by seasonal vegetables, fresh salad, local handmade cheese, farm-raised eggs, lentils, or beans. Non-vegetarian options are also available upon request, featuring locally sourced meats such as steak, chicken, or pork for an additional cost of three Euro. All meals are accompanied by local bread and homemade wine for an additional cost of 2,50 Euro per half a liter.

In addition to our hearty meals, all guests are welcome to enjoy the abundance of fresh organic fruits available on the farm, including figs, plums, peaches, cherries, persimmons, apples, pears, grapes, apricots, berries, and nuts. Indulge in the full flavor of perfectly ripe fruits, handpicked just for you.

Experience the joy of farm-fresh cuisine during your retreat at Italy Farm Stay, where healthy and delectable meals are always on the menu.

Accommodation

Italy Farm Stay provides a variety of room types to suit your budget and vacation preferences. All rooms are tastefully decorated with terracotta tiles, hand-painted trees and wildlife on the walls, and hand-carved wooden furniture. The beds are new and comfortable, ensuring you have a pleasant night’s sleep during your stay.

The rooms have recently undergone restoration and are equipped with a fan in the summer and a heating unit in the colder months. Ensuite rooms have air conditioning available for an additional fee of 5 EUR per day. However, the limestone walls of all rooms keep them cool in the summer, and most guests do not require air conditioning. The farm’s location at the foot of a beautiful mountain provides cooler summer nights compared to Rome or Naples. Larger rooms can accommodate up to four or five people, with cribs available for families traveling with young children.

The accommodation options cater to various types of travelers, including individuals, families, and groups. The dormitory can accommodate up to five people, while camping on the farm is also an affordable option for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty. You can bring your own camping equipment or rent tents, sleeping bags, and mats for a small fee. The campground is situated in a beautiful area surrounded by fruit trees and vegetables, with a breathtaking view of the mountains.

Extra services include laundry, internet access, and room service. Weekly sheet changes and room cleaning every three days are included in the room rate. Ensuite room heating is provided from October 1 to April 15, with additional hours or usage available for an extra fee. Private rooms have a fireplace, with heating available from early morning until late evening at no extra cost.

The price for one person in a private tent is 715 EUR, a private single room is 995 EUR and a private double room for two people is 1670 EUR.

Teachers

Antonello Siragusa

Meet Antonello Siragusa, the passionate founder, and host of Yoga Farm Stay. After years of dedicated study, Antonello completed his 500 hours of TTC in 2017 and continues to deepen his practice and teach asana, pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy during his annual winter trips to Asia. He considers teaching yoga one of his most important spiritual practices and has made it the central activity of his eco-farm stay.

Ana Ichim

Born and raised in Romania, Ana’s journey as a yoga teacher began with her first training at Eldorado Ashram in the mountains of Colorado in 2015. After several years of self-practice, she completed an additional 200 hours of teacher training, along with 50 hours of training in Yin yoga and anatomy, solidifying her passion for teaching. In her classes, Ana incorporates mantras and leads bhajan and kirtan circles, exploring new ways to teach and infusing a combination of bhakti, traditional Hatha, and Yin yoga into her practice.
