Your Journey
Envision yourself for a moment, surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of the Sierra Nevada, amidst ancient olive, orange, and fig trees brimming with fruit waiting to be harvested. This serene setting allows you to unwind and reconnect with the natural rhythms of the environment while engaging in the sacred art of yoga and meditation and savoring delicious, high-vibrational raw cuisine.
Yoga offers a plethora of benefits that extend beyond the mat, from fostering physical fitness to achieving internal equilibrium. Through a combination of postures, breathing exercises, and meditation, yoga promotes holistic wellness, encompassing physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
If you struggle with an overactive mind, yoga can help you create space from your thoughts and minimize inner chatter. You will begin to feel more serene and less entangled in the dramas and stories of your thoughts and feelings. You will gradually immerse yourself in yoga postures, pranayama, and meditation, regardless of your proficiency level, as we keep our groups small to offer personalized attention. Even if you have never tried yoga before, this is an excellent opportunity to embark on a non-demanding practice at your own pace.
The morning sessions are slightly more active, while we conclude the day with a calming Yin yoga practice. Tara will lead most of the yoga classes, although we may occasionally have guest instructors.
Each day of the retreat focuses on a specific chakra to allow for a more in-depth exploration of their transformative potential. You will develop the necessary skills to harness the energy of the seven energy centers for enhanced healing, vitality, and pleasure.
Nature and yoga are inextricably linked, transforming your practice into an elevated experience. Practicing yoga and meditation amidst the tranquil, natural surroundings evokes a sense of peaceful presence, a clear mind, and an open heart. Raw food is an incredibly nourishing and delectable way to keep the body light. It initiates weight loss and increases metabolism. Both yoga and raw food aid the body and mind in detoxification by improving digestion and eliminating harmful toxins. This aids in breaking the cycle of negative thoughts and decreased energy while preserving youth and vitality for years to come.
In addition to yoga, raw food, and nature, you will enjoy other delights, including mantra singing, a fire ritual, a chakra dance session, a beach picnic, a mountain excursion, a superfood workshop, nutritional talks, a movie night, and raw food workshops.

Daily Journey
The daily schedule includes a focus on the chakra system, beginning with the base chakra. Mornings begin with yoga and meditation, followed by workshops, therapy sessions, walks, outings, or other activities in the afternoons. Evenings may involve singing mantras, discussions, or watching inspirational films. Participants can nourish themselves with high vibrational raw and superfoods, yoga, and meditation in nature.
The program starts on Day 1 at 5 p.m. with a juice and a sharing circle, followed by dinner and a “getting to know each other” sharing circle at 8 p.m.
On Day 2, the focus is on the Mooladhara Chakra – Earth Element, with a morning meditation and grounding yoga session, followed by a walk in nature, a rawfood workshop, and relaxing Yin yoga in the evening.
Day 3 focuses on the Swadhistana Chakra – Water Element, with a morning meditation and yoga session, followed by an excursion to a river, waterfall, or the sea, and a picnic lunch. The evening ends with relaxing Yin yoga.
On Day 4, the focus is on the Manipura Chakra – Fire Element, with a morning meditation and yoga session to activate the inner fire, followed by a workshop on how to spice up a plant-based diet, a Yin yoga session for the digestive system, and a fire ritual in the evening.
Day 5 focuses on the Anahata Chakra – Ether Element, with a morning meditation and heart-opening yoga session, followed by a nurturing massage or swim, and a heart-opening cacao ceremony and sharing circle in the evening.
On Day 6, the focus is on the Vishuddhi Chakra – Ether-Element, with a morning meditation and yoga session to open the voice, followed by a nurturing massage or swim, and a Bhajan mantra singing circle in the evening.
Day 7 focuses on the Ajna Chakra – Light-Element, with a morning meditation and yoga session to connect with inner guidance, wisdom, and intuition, followed by a nurturing massage, swim, or walk, and a Yin yoga session with meditation and mudras in the evening.
On Day 8, the focus is on the Sahasrara seventh Chakra – Consciousness, with a morning meditation and yoga session to connect with divine guidance, followed by a nurturing massage, swim, or walk, and a Yin yoga session to connect with all chakras in the evening. The day ends with a buffet dinner and party time.
The program ends on Day 9, which is the departure day. Participants who want to stay an extra day can request it from SunFoodYoga.
Included excursions
You will go on a trip to the beautiful mountain villages of the Alpujarras. You’ll walk together and have fun swimming in cool mountain pools and standing under a big waterfall. You’ll also have a yummy picnic together.

To start off, let me make it clear that raw food is undeniably delicious. The possibilities with just raw vegetables, fruits, and nuts are unimaginable.
For breakfast, there’s a variety of options to choose from, such as almond milk with granola, banana pancakes, crackers with avocado and cashew cheese, and a green smoothie made with superfoods.
Lunch and dinner times are always a treat for the senses with an array of fascinating flavors to try. If you have any food restrictions or preferences, SunFoodYoga is happy to accommodate you. All the food served at the retreat is homemade, raw, gluten-free, sugar-free, lactose-free, and made from fresh and organically grown ingredients. Throughout the day, you can also indulge in exotic fruits like mangoes, papayas, and figs.
You’ll also get to create delicious meals together such as soup, sushi, lasagna, and desserts using detailed recipes provided for you to take home. And speaking of desserts, the raw cakes are packed with fiber, minerals, and vitamins.

Tara, a devoted yogini from India’s spiritual community Auroville, has been teaching yoga for over 25 years. With a passion for sharing her practice, she leads retreats worldwide that intermix mantra and pranayama with Hatha, Flow, and Yin yoga, as well as meditation. Tara’s unique teaching style incorporates alignment principles and fun, making her a sought-after instructor.

To reach the retreat center, please book your flight to arrive at either Malaga Airport – Costa del Sol (AGP) or Federico García Lorca Granada Airport (GRX). If you prefer to be picked up and share the ride, we recommend arriving at Malaga Airport before 2 p.m. Additional transfers are available for only €65 per person.
